W.G.A.R.S. runs two Communications 'Nets' every week.

On Mondays,
The W.G.A.R.S. Net is held at 8pm (20:00 hours) local time on the 2 Meter repeater.

On Thursdays, the
A.R.E.S. Net is held at 8pm (20:00 hours) local time on the 2 Meter repeater.
The
WGARS 2 Meter repeater (W4FWD) operates on a frequency of 146.640 with a standard minus 600Khz transmit frequency offset. The repeater uses a 131.8 tone for access.
If you wish to participate as net control in either net, the preambles are available for download:
Regular net (zipped) and ARES net (zipped). Unzip the
file(s) and open them in "notepad" or your favorite text editor. Then print them for a hardcopy. |

Severe Weather
Nets

Severe Weather nets are called by the
A.R.E.S. Emergency Coordinator or other appointed persons.

On Sundays, 6pm to 7:30pm (18:00 to 19:30 hours) local time,
The North West Georgia Disaster Net meets on 146.520 Simplex.
